Employee Spotlight Of The Month: Danielle Gregory – Account Manager (Healthcare Solutions)

11th January 2022

Welcome to the eleventh of our ‘Employee Spotlight of the Month’ interviews! At Dakota, we believe that everyone within our organisation plays an equally important role in making the company what it is today.

Each month we will be sharing an interview with a member of staff in order to showcase their key responsibilities within the business and the benefits which they offer to our valued customer base.

This month we spoke with Danielle Gregory, Account Manager (Healthcare Solutions), to find out more about her role within Dakota.

1. How long have you worked at Dakota and how long have you been in your current role?

I joined Dakota in October 2020 as an Internal Account Manager and started my current Account Manager role in the Healthcare Solutions Team in March 2021.

2. What does the role of Account Manager (Healthcare Solutions) at Dakota involve?

The role of Account Manager involves handling day-to-day customer requirements as well as overseeing large projects, ensuring that I offer the solutions and products that suit both their requirements and budget.

3. What key attributes do you believe you need in order to achieve success within your role?

I believe that the key attributes required are confidence, positivity and the ability to communicate clearly, with a desire to always be willing to learn about new technology and new solutions in order to best assist our customers.

4. What do you enjoy most about your role at Dakota?

I enjoy lots of aspects of my role! Knowing that I am assisting the NHS and making clinical staff roles slightly easier with the right technology is very satisfying. Having never worked in the Healthcare Sector prior to joining Dakota (although I have worked in the AIDC industry for 20 years) I have really enjoyed learning how the NHS works and learning about new solutions, especially the ones that I didn’t even know existed 18 months ago!

5. What are the most challenging aspects of your role?

Every customer is different with diverse needs and requirements - there is no such thing as ‘one size fits all.’ Balancing the relationship between procurement and the end user of the solution can sometimes be challenging as they can often have different priorities. Supply chain issues are also difficult to manage at the moment.

6. How do you believe that your role positively impacts our customers’ experience?

I believe that I always go the extra mile for customers whether it be arranging for demo kit, samples or just being there when they need me. I want our customers to feel valued and know that they can always contact me as their trusted technology advisor.

7. And finally…..please give us an interesting or fun fact about yourself

I have a dog called Dave! Not very interesting but everyone thinks it’s a funny name for a dog!
