Dakota Smashes 2023 Revenue Targets As Growth Trajectory Continues
12th January 2024
Following hot on the heels of a record year in 2022, real-time data capture, printing, mobility and voice-directed solutions specialist Dakota Integrated Solutions has once again smashed projected revenue and growth targets during 2023.
Thanks to an expansion in the number of supply chain and healthcare projects during the course of the year, due in part to the accumulation of new customers and the development of existing accounts, the company has maintained its significant growth trajectory over the past twelve months, further cementing its status as one of the leading software solution providers within the AIDC industry.
Breaking new ground within a variety of established and green-field industry sectors specifically through the implementation of voice-directed solutions which are underpinned by Honeywell voice-enabled technology, the business has established itself as the ‘go-to’ company for Maintenance and Inspection solutions, following successful projects with the likes of LiuGong Machinery Co. Ltd, one of the worldwide leaders in construction and earth moving machinery manufacture, and Mercedes-Benz franchise Intercounty Truck & Van in Boston.
Growth within the more ‘traditional’ voice-picking solution space has also continued, with Sealey Tools, a leading brand of professional tools and workshop equipment, experiencing significant productivity uplift as a result of implementing Dakota’s voice-enabled solution.
From a healthcare perspective, the company has definitely not stood still either. In March, Dakota successfully secured a tender contract to continue to supply patient wristbands through the NHS Supply Chain (NHSSC) for a further four years, as well as being awarded a two-year contract renewal with leading private healthcare provider HCA Healthcare UK to continue to supply its wristbands and labels.
The company is also the sole supplier of Voice-Care, an award-winning, progressive and ground-breaking voice-enabled solution designed to enhance patient safety and care throughout hospital and healthcare environments, which is currently undergoing trials at a leading London-based NHS Trust.
During 2023, Dakota established new partnerships with the likes of Waizu, a provider of solutions designed to reduce lost and missing mobile devices, as well as Ai Automation, which has enabled Dakota to add robotics to its solution portfolio.
New additions to the company’s strong and ever-growing professional Sales and Technical Teams have also had a positive impact, underpinned by well-organised and capable internal support and in-house marketing teams, while a move to a new, larger purpose-built office and warehouse premises in Trafford Park, Manchester, has helped the company accommodate its growth.
Another first for the company was a Customer Day at Silverstone in conjunction with partners Waizu, Brother and Newland; an event which was designed to showcase a range of progressive and future-proof supply chain printing, mobility and software solutions to the delegates.
However a real feather in Dakota’s cap during 2023 was winning the ‘Fleet Innovation of the Year’ category, in collaboration with partners Truckfile, at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards in November, an initiative which recognises and rewards organisations around the world that demonstrate excellence in their supply chain operations.
Philip Jarrett, Commercial Director at Dakota comments, “We are absolutely delighted with the growth and successes that we have experienced within the business particularly during the past twelve months. Our continued expansion and exploration into new technologies has proved fruitful, whilst still maintaining and growing our long-term relationships with existing vendors such as Zebra, Honeywell, Brother, Newland and Dalen Healthcare, which has helped us to maintain an extremely strong hold within our traditional supply chain and healthcare market sectors. Not only that; we have also established new strategic partnerships with like-minded companies who hold the same dynamic cultural ethos and growth aspirations as Dakota. All of these factors have been very significant in growing the business whilst still maintaining our focus on the provision of high-quality, first-class customer service.”
Keith Hardy, Managing Director at Dakota concludes, “Our desire to embrace new and emerging technologies into our traditional and previously untapped market sectors with the help of our valued vendor, supplier and partnership base makes for a fantastic and successful combination. We are very excited to continue our growth during 2024 and beyond.”
